The Government's Decent Homes Programme seeks to improve UK resident’s standard of living. At April 2009, nearly 86 per cent of all social homes were decent. The target for April 2011 is 92 per cent. For more information on the Decent Homes Programme, click on the link above.
The Decent Homes Programme is not just about buildings, it’s about people.
While work is being done, our Customer Liaison Team attends one-to-one meetings with tenants in their homes and neighbourhood group meetings. This provides crucial reassurance and support.
We find it’s an approach that minimises disruption and allows those tenants to get back to normality quickly and easily.
